«Intercourse and creation are the features of Koktebel»

This year the Koktebel villa of BASSO was ten years ago. In 2004 there the first International koktebel'skiy festival of arts passed «Chicken god», founded the proprietors of villa Alloy Basarginoy and Stanislas Suleymanovym, and also their other by Victor Erofeevym. A. Basargina told «Cafe» that binds it to Koktebelem, and divided plans on the future.

- When did you first arrive in Koktebel'?

- These were 59 years ago at the end of May, 1949. A dad took tours on rest to Crimea for me and mother. Child's resort was consider Evpatoria and Anapa, but tours were not there, and it was offered to him, according to him, «in some Koktebel'». Before departure he promised to prolong a tour, if will please us. Driving to House of creation was begun with June, 1, but trains walked in a day, therefore we arrived on a day before. In my memory there is that on the way we passed the blasted stations. In Moscow of him recovered a long ago, and post-war devastation reigned in other cities. We were settled in the house of Voloshina, in that, where now there is a museum. We lived in a room at which Andrey was before stopped White. About it and other great deal I knew much later, and then a mother left me one and went on mail. It sent to the dad a telegram: «Prolong, as far as able» – so Koktebel' pleased it at first blush.

- What then was Koktebel'?

- Now hardness to present it – empty. Ashore the house of Maximilian Voloshina and house stood only Pra, which trees grew round. There in the distance a house could be seen yet to cabin Boy and little park, and around naked, but very beautiful steppes. The paths of House of creation were strewed famous varicoloured koktebel'skoy pebble, now already hardness to present that we walked on cornelians, jaspers and agates. In a house, where now museum, Maria Stepan lived, and holiday-makers took a place on a ground floor. In 1949 driving to House of creation counted four mothers and four children. House Pra did not yet repair. Housekeeper Voloshinykh Olympiad of Nikitichna Serbinova worked as a sister-hostess in House of creation. A dining-room was disposed on the ground floor of House of poet. Olimpiada Nikitichna lived on the first floor in the house of materi of Voloshina, which yet was not repaired after war. A stair absented there, and went down in memory me, as this already advanced in years a woman clambered upstairs on the attached stair.

- But as did an acquaintance happen Maria by Stepan?

- I already studied in CMSH and must ball in summer zanimat'sya. In the house of Voloshina there was a piano which Maria Stepan kindly gave me for employments. Voloshina and mother made friends quickly, therefore to 1976 year we were the guests of Maria Stepan. In a house there was always very much a lot of guests in the peak of season: slept everywhere – even on the opened terraces. Since Maria Stepan died, we had continued to arrive and took off habitation for the workers of House of creation. In 1978 I first brought here Stasika and two-year Serezhu (son Suleymanova and Basarginoy).

- Do you remember the first meeting with Stanislas Bogdanovichem?

- Certainly, it happened in the corridors of the Large theater in 1971, when he arrived to Moscow. We married and lived in happy marriage of 32.

- When did the idea of building of villa of BASSO born?

- In fact, a dream to have the house borned a long ago, as early as 50th. Then it is very cheap possible it was to purchase a house in Koktebele. It was purchased the first itself at home Shaginyan, Gabrichevskie, Igor Moiseev, writer Mironov, and other patriots of Koktebelya followed their example. At that time a little polurazvalivshiysya cottage can it was be purchased in a couple of thousands of roubles, but for our family this was a fabulous sum. Therefore we continued to dream. When a money appeared, we could not purchase a house from administrative barriers, because a buyer is under an obligation was to register in this house, that for us was not acceptable. And we again continued to dream about a house in Koktebele. From 1986 to 1998 we with Stasikom had a casual interruption in the visit of Koktebelya. Somehow did not turn out from tours to cut out time on rest. And in 1998 our acquaintance arrived and began a yarn that possibility to lease the plot of land and to build itself a house for summer rest appeared in Koktebele. A dream became reality. Stas did everything. Villa BASSO is built, certainly, by professionals, but on his project and at his direct participation.

- Are friends creative people also outside Koktebelya?

- Yes, but it is friendship by phone. Moscow distances kill that wonderful, that is in Koktebele – it is possible to come to the friends on foot. Intercourse and creation is main features of Koktebelya. Even once someone invented a facetious verse on this theme: «In Koktebele, however fight, to the evening will always get a drunk». And it partly right, because every evening guests and posidelki with glass of wonderful koktebel'skogo wine are the inevitable program. And to us with Stasikom it became boring from ordinary posidelok and something creative wanted, for the soul.

- When thoughtful about a festival «Chicken god»?

- In 2003 I was invited in New Light on a festival Shalyapina, but from rehearsals with Rostropovichem I was not able on him to visit. And here I was struck by the idea of festival of arts in Koktebele, and Stasik supported it. We always supported the reckless ideas of each other – such is domestic tradition. I explained him, that if in the New Light did a festival, based on legend, confirmed no historical facts, it is very ashamed not to conduct in Koktebele festivals in general. We told about this idea Victor Erofeevu, which supported us here. So «Chicken god borned». At once we were supported by Alex Nick Bulyga and deputies of possoveta, and a permanent and main sponsor was become by vinzavod of «Koktebel'». At this time «Dzhaz-koktebel'» appeared already.

- This year the villa of BASSO marked the decade actively. Not only «Chicken god» passed on it but also some other meaningful cultural measures, and also creative meetings. Who did the first appeal with similar suggestion?

- With guidance of house-museum of Voloshina we are friends a long ago. They help us to conduct «Chicken god». Before the leadthrough of poetic competition of voloshincy suggested to go about in festivals to each other in guests. Koktebel' develops how he develops. But in the evening in the garden of House of poet to read verses – senseless employment. Music thunders around, and poetic evenings need a quiet. Therefore appearance of poets and handing the first bonus of Maximilian Voloshina happened on the villa of BASSO. Then the first press-conference of festival «Dzhaz-koktebel' 2008» and great number of creative evenings passed on a villa. I conduct the book-chronicle of villa of BASSO, which it is indicated in, that this year my house was visited by more than 500 persons.

- How does become the guests of villa of BASSO?

- On invitation which is named «Bring a friend over». It so became usual, that on a festival in 2005 to me one of guests walked up and asked: «And you who did invite here?» Those, who visited on the villa of BASSO, afterwards bring the friends here.

- Do you already prepare to «Chicken god 2009»?

- Certainly, already there is a preliminary agreement with Ada Rogovcevoy, Vladimir Grishko, Ljudmila Ivanova, Ilze and Andresom Liepa, by Ostap and Bogdanom Stupkoy et al. The theme of next festival will be become by internationalness («Art without scopes») and anniversary of Gogolya. While our sponsors did not give up a help to us, all will pass, as planned.
